You don't have to infer from family members to understand the low quality of Joe Biden's character. You might consider the dishonesty, his lying about his academic achievements,

his plagiarism in college and during his 1988 presidential campaign, cheating on his first wife with Jill and of being unfaithful in his marriage, inappropriate behavior, such as showering with his daughter and swimming naked in front of his secret service agents, the recent discovery of classified documents in his possession, etc. And yet you do not even reference the facts?

Nature vs Nurture. But what happens when your nurturing only amplifies your nature? Biden has always been untrustworthy, that's why he's been a successful politician. He knows all the dirty little secrets. He knows who's palms to grease and how much to use.

Weighing knowledge of family history with race considerations:

Without specific knowledge on family ancestry, we are generally stuck using race as a benchmark for the likely success of the children of black individuals, or in part black white couples. Regression to the a different mean is one of the reasons that children of black households making 200K or more obtain the same SAT scores as children of white households making 20K or less.

An interesting question would be, how many generations of IQ or standardized testing data one would need, if marrying interracially for general racial metrics to not be of critical importance in estimating the intelligence of one's likely children?

It's both hilarious and depressing that a Harvard law professor like Laurence Tribe would state that the heredity of criminality has been "universally discredited" - it hasn't. In fact, what has been discredited is the notion that poverty causes criminality. Cremieux published a great piece in these pages exploring this topic.

Also, even when we consider that criminal tendencies are heritable just like everything else, this does not lead to the conclusion that all in the Biden family are criminal sociopaths. A person shares just 25% of their grandparent's genes. And when it comes to a great great grandparent, the genetic contribution is likely too small to make a large difference.

When infertile couples go to a sperm bank, do we have data on which characteristics of the sperm donor they consider? If for instance most couples ask about criminal behavior or mental illnesses, that would tell us that most people consider those to be inheritable.

"For most characteristics, it looks like genetics are much more important than parenting.'

I am a firm believer in nature over nurture.

Joe Biden's personal history speaks for itself.

I thought that criminality was inherited and that was one of the reasons for imprisoning violent young men in their most reproductive years?
