Using a stats on American Jews marrying outside of their ethnicity as evidence is flawed. Whoever is arguing for this has never set foot in Israel or socialized with Jews in Israel.
Israeli Jews are extremely ethnocentric. You will meet people that will date/marry only within their particular sect. That is, Moroccan Jews only marrying other Moroccan Jews. Ukrainian Jews only marrying other Ukrainian Jews, etc. They are quite upfront about it too. If you know them well, they will tell what what they really think about Ethiopian Jews or Blacks in general.
Jews historically have gone through phases that led to substantial exogamy among them.
This has been confirmed through genetic studies; they are more heterozygous than Europeans and have genetic diseases that are lethal when homozygous while cognition boosting when heterozygous.
Europeans are actually like Ashkenazi Jews. We cant explain european success by cognitive ability. For example Germans(austria, germany, switzerland) have more money and nobel awards than Japans although they have lower IQ than east asians.
How Catholic Church was instrumental in shaping the Europe is something most people don't know, all inadvertently, aiming something else, shooting something entirely different.
If you put a small population of ethnocentric people into a large population of universalists, they are going to have a particular advantage.

In addition current citizen Hispanics don't seem to feel much solidarity with immigrant Hispanics despite being the same "ethnicity". A point politicians could learn from.

These are not especially persuasive. They are explanations that are unsupported by evidence. Jews rate honesty less highly on some scale. Are they actually less honest? Can the answers on the scale be shown to correlate with any actual behavior? If the answer to those was "yes," we might seek explanations why. Until then, not so much. CS Lewis wrote that it is no good a doctor telling us "you can be sure he picked up this disease on one of those trains" unless we know that the boy does in fact have a disease. Yes, Max Weber coined the phrase "Protestant Work Ethic." Do Protestants actually work harder? There are Catholic writers who praised hard work in very strict terms before Weber. Does that matter for either group?

I liked the article, but my two complaints were the conflation of Jewishness with religion. There are two ways to be Jewish. Belief in Judaism or genetically. And the too-general use of the word Jew. There are meaningful differences between Orthodox Jews, Sephardic Jews, and Ashkenazi Jews.

It is possible to take over fields of academia and media without it being purely meritocratic. The people running those industries may give opportunities to some based on ethnocentrism that they deny others. For example, Jews are massively overrepresented in Ivy League colleges relative to test scores.
