The Importance of Physical Strength to Human Males. Aaron Sell and colleagues examine the relationship between physical strength and political attitudes in men. They review evidence that physically stronger men have more self-serving political attitudes and believe more in the utility of warfare. They also found that Hollywood actors selected for their physical strength (action stars) are more likely to be Republicans.

Can fertility decline help explain gender pay convergence? Alexandra Killewald and Nino José Cricco examine whether fertility decline can explain gender pay convergence in the US. Analysing a large longitudinal survey, they find that it can explain up to one quarter of gender pay convergence between 1980 and 2018. This makes sense given that women must take time out of the labour force to have a child.
