Minimum Wages and Homelessness. Seth Hill studies the impact of minimum wages on homelessness in the US. Comparing municipalities that saw greater versus lesser increases in the minimum wage between 2006 and 2019, he finds evidence that they raise the level of homelessness. Indeed, homelessness surged in cities like Seattle, New York and San Francisco that saw large increases in the inflation-adjusted minimum wage.

Republicans are flagged more often than Democrats for sharing misinformation on X’s Community Notes. Thomas Renault and colleagues examine partisan differences in the sharing of misinformation on X. They find that Republicans are 2.3 times more likely to be flagged with Community Notes than Democrats, and this cannot be accounted for by differences in their representation among X users.
