Should we worry about AI’s impact on the labour market? Richard Hanania doesn’t think so. In response to my article ‘Yes, you're going to be replaced’, he says he’s “confident” that there’s “no reason to worry about AI taking our jobs”. His piece makes a number of interesting arguments and I recommend reading it. Naturally, however, I’m not convinced. What follows is a point-by-point reply.
